10 reasons some days are chocolate days!

I’ve noticed some days I eat way more chocolate than others… Here are some of the reasons I have for days I just can’t stop munching. Chocolate Days are…

Reasons some days are chocolate days - mummy just needs chocolate

  1. I’ve been healthy, I ate half a banana which the toddler lobbed at the floor, 3 half chewed strawberries and we’re going to have another carrot fight at dinner, so I might eat them before they end up hitting the wall too
  2. Coffee won’t cut it
  3. I’ve had coffee and I need another?pick me up
  4. I just want to eat something I can stuff in my mouth at lightening speed so the toddler won’t notice and want some too.
  5. M&Ms are perfect hide-in-my-hand food, the toddler doesn’t even spot them! #MummyWin
  6. Chocolate melts in my mouth, so the toddler has no idea I’ve just eaten anything! Healthy snacks just don’t have that same melt-in-mouth-toddler-has-no-clue qualities!
  7. I’ve had umpteen toddler tantrums, cleaned the high chair 3 times and changed the smelliest nappy ever, I need chocolate!
  8. The living room/playroom/entire house looks like a tornado ripped through it! I need subsistence before I tackle tidying!
  9. It’s Monday, the hardest day of the week: chocolate is just part of it!
  10. Come on, it’s Friday! Everyone knows Friday = treat day, or cake day at work, pub at lunch day. I just think it’s been FIVE whole days since hubby was home to help and I WANT chocolate, and cake and wine… is it wine o’clock yet?!

Who’s with me? Do you agree some (most) days are just chocolate days?

Yup, yesterday was a chocolate day! I ate it behind the cupboard door 🙂 The day started with a horrendous nappy, and we couldn’t go out for one reason or another so it was a looong one! Chocolate is a necessary part of parenting.

Every day is chocolate day for me, day, night, afternoon, teatime, lunchtime, I’m not fussy;-) BUT I’ve given up chocolate for Lent, together with coffee. Perhaps not my best idea…. # #BloggerClubUK

I definitely have days that are chocolate days without a doubt…although I try and eat it on Saturday and sundays and be good during the week. But sometimes you just have to have some because you need it #bestandworst

Yip, at this point in time, with four kids to wrangle, I struggle to make it to the end of the day without consuming chocolate. I often end up standing with my head concealed behind the pantry door as I shovel it into my mouth. No wonder this “baby weight” isn’y budging.

I completely agree that M&Ms can be the perfect chocolate as they can be eaten undetected by child OR husband at any time of the day (I may sometimes eat a few as I’m making breakfast without my husband realising!)

It’s strange, I’m not massively a chocolate person (more Crisps & Haribo!) but soem days I just NEED chocolate! Maybe it’s a hormonal thing? I also think out of sight, out of mind…if I see it there…hmmm…just one…

Every day should be a chocolate day, no questions asked. For some stupid reason I have decided to torture myself and give it up for lent, I don’t know whats wrong with me. I am probably going to be drinking lots of coffee for the next 40days haha. Great post 🙂 xx #TheList

I agree with you, although I can find an excuse to make everyday a chocolate day. Plus chocolate comes from a bean and that sort of a vegetable so surely it’s one of my 5 a day ….. #coolmumclub

I’d have to add illness, stress and PMS to my excuse list. There also reaches a point of unhealthy in my day’s meals where I stop caring and anything goes.
