Happy List 14 – nesting, Slimbridge, toddler classes

I have to jump straight in this week to thank my lovely lovely amazing friends for their support and very kind offers to help with Toddler H when I go into labour. I was so touched and really had tears in my eyes at their generosity. So onto my week’s happy list…

1. Revisiting an old baby class

We used to do Tatty Bumpkin with Toddler H until September last year when she didn’t seem to want to copy or take part. We did a pop up Easter class this week and she loved it. She’s been roaring like a dinosaur and if you tell her to be a certain dinosaur she does he position or action from the class. I was so proud, after her initial reaction in the class, she was soon copying and sitting with the others in the middle. I’m really becoming aware she needs to listen to others and follow their instructions too, so we’re incredibly excited to go back to Tattys and then take baby later in the year too!

2. Blogging opportunities

I’ve had a few fab blogging opportunities this week, so look out for some amazing giveaways and reviews coming up – eeeeeeek!!

3. House sorting

Hubby and I spent less than two hours sorting out the baby’s room (old study) and spare bedroom (which will not incorporate the study too!), and really made progress. I’m actually writing this super quickly today so I can get on while hubby has taken H out… nest nest nest!

Any storage tips are greatly appreciated – pop them in the comments please!!! Or desks with immense storage!

4. Garden progress

This weekends job is for hubby to get going levelling the patio, he’s been sticking stakes in and working so hard at it… but 6 weeks to go is a bit of a deadline!

5. Toddler big sister to be cuteness

Toddler H has been so cute with my bump this week, so understanding and caring. She looks so sad when she says “mummy can’t, her back is sore.”

6. Easter

We had a lovely Easter. Los of yummy chocolate Easter eggs -perfect for my pregnancy cravings! We also had a really lovely day at Slimbridge Wetlands Centre where we are members, followed by a yummy lamb roast.

At Slimbridge we also met our friends and it was lovely to catch up and the toddlers had a brilliant time playing in Welly Boot Land.

7. New sink

Yes, it might seem like a small thing but the sink in our cloakroom had been driving us mad. As we use it all the time with nappy changes and now with potty emptying and cleaning, the water was getting so hot with having two taps, and we just hated the peachy/pink colour of the sink and taps. Hubby replaced it last Monday with a lovely new white sink and Bristan tap like we have in our ensuite. It works much better and looks so much better, although the tiles were stuck on with something crazy so there is now a huge wall insulation on display!

8. Park fun and play dates

We met one of our NCT friends at the local park and they played for 2 hours. They had a ball and is mummies had a good chat too. We also had a play date yesterday which was also fun for them, although H did get rather tired and grumpy.

9. Garden help

H helped plant the tomato, lettuce, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. She absolutely loves checking them every day fingers crossed some take as I think some ended up a bit shallow!

10. Dream Genii pillow

As you’ll have read possibly, I’ve had lots of hip and back pain this pregnancy. I was very kindly sent a Dream Genii pillow which I’ve been trying this week. It’s comfy and not as warm as my 5ft pillow which will be a welcome relief as the weather gets warmer.

Righty, that’s it – lots of happy moments (along with continued potty success) and hopefully we’re getting there with the house too.
