Things to take on an Easter Trail or Egg Hunt

We visited the Primrose Vale Easter Trail today, near Cheltenham, and let’s just say it was a tad muddy.

Given the weather this weekend, I’d therefore thoroughly recommend the following:

1. Wellies for EVERYONE – obviously some trails might not be so mucky, but Primrose Vale was rather wet!

2. Snowsuits/puddle suits for kids, and waterproofs for adults – just see my video of our day for why (and my Instagram)

3. Hats – the Trail is a bit chilly in places when the wind breezes so a hat is a good idea

4. Gloves – the Trail pre-school involves 10 activities (and I assume the older kids one is similar) – we should have all worn gloves as some activities invoke throwing things which land in the mud if you miss!

5. A baby carrier instead of a pushchair. Baby B was sound asleep for a much needed nap (aka she was a super grump before we left) and so we changed our mind and took the pushchair. It would have been much easier with the carrier instead of the Oyster. The Out n’ About would have been better, but still absolutely covered in mud which is a bit of a pain.

6. A change of shoes – you probably don’t want to wear wellies home or get he car covered in all that mud!

7. Potentially a change of clothes for kids – just in case they end up covered in mud.

8. Coffee stop! We had a coffee afterwards and it was lovely de-numbing our hands, however, we should have got a coffee first and carried it with us around the Trail.
