Happy list 9 – IKEA, gardening, a family break

This week’s happy list…

1. IKEA

Hubby popped to IKEA this week to pick up some new storage for us. We’ve a lot less wardrobe space in our new house but haven’t been able to decide what we wanted so we’ve gone with IKEA!  We’ve had IKEA Malm bedside tables for 8 years and they’ve held up perfectly, you’d never know.

2. Play dates

We met friends at an indoor play area on Tuesday when the weather was dodgy and it really helped. We all needed to get out of the house and it was definitely a coffee day! The toddlers had a brilliant time and didn’t want to leave – but coffee made that tantrum bearable.

3. Gardening

I managed to plant a few evergreen  plants in our front garden as it’s been quite bare over winter. Some heather, an Azelia, and a couple of Golden Crests. We will do similar in the new borders at the back too but need to put the soil in the beds first!

4. Sisters

My sister announced a surprise visit and so it was lovely catching up with her and her boyfriend… They’re just staying in the spare room, which given our current state of sorting boxes and putting up furniture has reached a new level of mess! Ooooops, but we had no time to prepare!

5. Baby heartbeat

I saw the midwife this week and am measuring well and heard baby’s heartbeat which is always lovely. It seems I probably have sciatica which is being rather painful this week so have to follow up with the physio asap. (More in my 26 week pregnancy diary)

6. Pancakes & Nutella

I have loved pancake day this year, it’s definitely helped with my pregnancy chocolate addiction!

7. A mini family break

We’re off to the beach for a night tonight and so looking forward to doing some swimming and going to the beach. Just having that away time with H.

8. a Buggy board to save mummy!

At the start of the week I bought a second hand BuggyBoard Mini for Toddler H. She loves her friend’s one and I hope it saves me in the third trimester and is useful when Baby #2 arrives.

Hope you’ve had a lovely  week… Who can believe it’s March already?
