Heatwave survival – buying a paddling pool!

Life with baby

I started writing this on Wednesday. It was 32C and Baby H was in her nappy happy rolling around the floor while I was sweltering. In theory I would have loved to have been out in that lovely sunshine reading a book (in reality I probably would have been too hot, or in the shade). I couldn’t go out though, it was hotter outside than in. Extra heat I just couldn’t handle.

Baby H wouldn’t nap, so I wound down all the windows in the car to let the even hotter air out, and then we went to Asda to buy a baby pool. It’s brilliant. ?3 and the perfect size for her, with just enough room for me to stick my feet in too. I can’t say I found this by myself, fellow mummies from Baby H’s swimming class had bought them the day before. But, to top it all off Baby H fell asleep thanks to the wonders of Asda’s air conditioning. Win!!!

Splish splash, splish splash, Baby and Mummy are nice and cool!
